Abstract

A dielectric decoupler is employed in a six-port multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) antenna to increase the port isolations. This multiple-port decoupled antenna consists of six radiators and a hollow dielectric decoupler. By using this decoupler, a weak-field region can be obtained. When a radiator is placed at the weak-field region, a high isolation of more than 20 dB is found between the radiator and other radiators. These radiators are operated at 3.5 GHz with a bandwidth of 4.6%. Each port has quasi-boresight radiation patterns when other ports are terminated by a matched load. © 2024 IEEE.
