Abstract

The paper presents a self-synchronization blind audio watermarking algorithm in time domain. The audio signal is divided into frames after its characteristics are extracted with mean filtering. The watermark is inserted on a frame by frame basis. The proposed algorithm achieves self-synchronization by searching all the sampling points of the target frame. The watermark detection does not need the original audio. The idea of the algorithm is generic and can be applied to other fields such as image and video watermarking. © 2005 IEEE.
