Abstract

Northern cities in China are experiencing severe haze pollution. How to improve the urban ventilation capacity by improving the layout of urban space is a problem that China urgently needs to solve. The paper reviews the urban environmental problems, research methods of wind environment in residential areas, wind profile, coupling mechanism of spatial patterns of urban residential areas and wind environment, so to provide ideas for wind environment improvement in residential areas of Xi’an. At the same time, it provides research methods for the healthy development of cities in the same latitude region in the world.
