Abstract

Wireless motors have the potential to greatly enhance air tightness, waterproofness, and dustproofness in confined spaces. Currently, one of the most promising areas of research in this field is wireless switched reluctance motors (WSRM). However, previous works of WSRMs still face challenges such as complex motor structures and a lack of efficient and simple speed control methods. This paper presents an innovative solution by introducing a primary-controlled WSRM structure based on secondary coil multiplexing. This structure successfully reduces the number of secondary coils by half. The article proposes a novel dual-band resonant compensation circuit that utilizes a secondary receiving coil to establish two independent power channels, effectively supplying energy to the two motor windings. Furthermore, the compensation circuit enables multi-channel constant current output, providing the necessary hardware foundation for direct control of the motor winding current on the primary side. Detailed analysis is conducted on the circuit structure and current status to achieve closed-loop speed control. To validate the proposed system and the accuracy of the analysis, an experimental platform was built. © 2024 IEEE.
