title = "A preliminary study of microbiome on HVAC air filters",
abstract = "Human microbiome ratio on HVAC air filter has been measured using amplicon sequencing. Together with the operating parameters of HVAC system as inputs, a possible method of evaluating the relative occupancy rate of some campus rooms is presented. The monitored results show that the ventilation design and the seasonality can affect the structure of bacterial community. This new “microbiome sensor” retrieves historical information with potential to reveal some “secrets” behind the building conditions and its usages.",
