Abstract

The application of an optically injected semiconductor laser as a photonic microwave mixer is investigated. The high-speed nonlinear dynamical period-one oscillation is characterized numerically for photonic microwave up-conversion in a radio-over-fiber (RoF) downlink. © 2009 IEEE.
