Abstract
This paper presents a wideband SIW-fed quasi Yagi-Uda antenna array for the approaching millimeter (mm) wave 5G wireless communications. Instead of a single dipole, a pair of dipoles are fed by the open-ended SIW. With the concept of tightly coupled array, the impedance bandwidth is remarkably enhanced. Measurement verifies that a 4-element array obtains good impedance match (|S11|<-10 dB) from 22.9 to 39.8 GHz, covering almost all the mm-wave 5G spectrums.
