Abstract
A new general constrained deformation model based on generalized metaballs is proposed. It can operate on the local space and is independent of the underlying representation of the object to be deformed, and it can be finely controlled by adjusting the parameters of the generalized metaballs. The experimental results show that this deformation model can be used to deal with various constraints which are difficult to be solved by traditional deformation models.
