Abstract

A new decoupling method for slot antennas based on dielectric loading is proposed for multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) applications. Two slot antennas are loaded by a dielectric block (DB) to reduce their mutual coupling. By optimizing the dielectric constant (DK) and size of the DB, the proposed antenna can obtain a simulated 20-dB isolation bandwidth of 13.4% for a small separation of only 0.11λ0 at 3.5 GHz between the slots. © 2022 IEEE.
