Abstract

A novel circular polarized patch antenna with modified T-probe fed structure is proposed. By replacing the bent part of a T-probe with a printed strip on the substrate and by placing a radiating patch beneath the substrate, the proposed antenna can be more easily fabricated by using the printed technology. The simulation and experimental results show that the modified T-shaped probe single-fed CP antenna can achieve a wide impedance bandwidth, axial-ratio bandwidth and gain bandwidth without using the phase shifters or hybrid couplers. All these advantages make this antenna potentially useful in many communication systems. ©2008 IEEE.
