    Abstract

    In this paper, a novel microchip-based electrophoresis analysis protocol of the lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) isoenzymes was developed. A Xe lamp-induced fluorescence detection system was set up to study on-chip LDH isoenzymes assay. Experiments for determination of LDH1 standard solution and serum LDH isoenzymes from a healthy adult donator were carried out, followed by on-chip monitoring of incubation product of NADH catalyzed by LDH. The efficient separation of different LDH forms indicates the potential of microfluidic devices for isoenzymes assay. This is the first work to assay LDH Isoenzymes with microchip-based capillary electrophoresis. Copyright © 2005 by the Transducer Research Foundation, Inc.
