Abstract
By generalizing the Senator-Bapat's perturbation technique and using a new method to consider the inclusion of an optimal linear spring term, we establish approximate periodic solutions of nonlinear oscillations of conservative single-degree-of-freedom systems with odd nonlinearity. These approximate solutions are valid for small as well as large amplitudes of oscillation. © 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
