Abstract
A dielectric-loaded magneto-electric dipole composed of two shorted-circuited rectangular patches and a Γ-shaped probe feed operated at 2.5GHz is presented. The middle portion of the antenna are filled with dielectric substrate, εr=2.65. The height of the antenna is only 18mm. A wide impedance bandwidth of 48.7% (SWR≤2) is achieved. The gain of the proposed antenna is stable with frequency. The average gain is about 8.1dBi.
