Abstract
A class of space-time (ST) code, known as Toeplitz ST code is developed, which allows blind estimation on MIMO channels. The identifiability conditions are presented, which show that the proposed estimation algorithm can be used under any channel conditions with a mild requirement on the source signal which can be easily satisfied. The proposed Toeplitz ST code achieves the maximum diversity order. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the good performance of the proposed ST code with various number of antennas, transmission rates and input packet sizes. © 2005 IEEE.
