A Circularly Polarized Horn Antenna Integrated with 3D Metal Lens

Research output: Chapters, Conference Papers, Creative and Literary WorksRGC 32 - Refereed conference paper (with host publication)peer-review

Abstract

A novel gain-enhanced circularly polarized (CP) conical horn antenna with 3D metal lens is investigated in this paper. High gain is achieved by introducing a 3D metal lens to the conical horn. To validate this concept, a prototype working at 16 GHz was designed and simulated using ANSYS HFSS. The simulated results demonstrate that the proposed design achieves a realized gain improvement of over 9.5 dB. © 2025 IEEE.
