Abstract

This paper proposes two three-port GAA designs based on PCB to cover 77-81 GHz: The wide-scan design has produced frequency scanning beams when feeding at edge ports to achieve scanning ranges up to 14°, Gain >14.5dBi, and Return Loss (RL) >19 dB, while it produces boresight beams when feeding at the center port with Gain >10 dBi and RL >17dB; The high-gain design archives enhanced Gain >15 dBi for edge feedings and >13dBi for the central feeding with RL>15dB. The feature of frequency scanning and boresight resonant beams produced by the three-port GAAs will find usage in 2D and 3D multi-mood Radar imaging applications. © 2023 IEEE.
