19世纪美国史视角下的奥姆斯特德及其设计思想

By the light of F. L. Olmsted's correspondences and reports, the analysis focuses on the relationship between Olmsted's life and main events including civilization turn, culture independence and class politic in the 19^th century America, so as to reconstruct their inner significance in the filed of Landscape Architecture. The philosophy of Olmsted is also manifested during the analytic process on Central Park of New York. Meanwhile, this paper interprets Olmsted's philosophy, value judgement, and ideas of spatial design, and constructs their relevance in the historical research of 19^th century America, through which spatial comprehension in Landscape Architecture could be wildly promoted in social and political context.
