Abstract
“Reading Korean for Academic Purposes” aims to accommodate the needs and interests of various learners with academic and business purposes. It provides basic understandings of the economic concepts and introduces successful cases of Korean companies and social trends that would be useful for the areas of study as well as business efficiency. This book is also equipped with a wide range of language activities as well as information regarding Korean culture and society. To meet the needs of diverse learners populations, the vocabulary, grammar and expressions, and texts are provided with Sino- Korean, English, and traditional and simplified Chinese. Given that not many Korean reading materials are available in the market, “Reading Korean for Academic Purposes” will be of benefit to advanced Korean readers by providing lively examples of Korean business sectors and society as part of Korean identity.
