Abstract

Active participation in the reform and construction of the global governance system is an important aspect of China's foreign affairs in the new era. Amid the greatest changes in a century marked by intertwining transformations and chaos, China's participation in global governance, both in theory and practice, is centered on pursuing justice. The pursuit of justice aims to promote the reform of the global governance system in a way that balances equity and efficiency so as to address the governance deficit, promoting fairness and democratization in global governance with the goal of effectively solving global challenges. Based on this pursuit, China's participation in global governance adheres to the principle of pursuing the greater good and shared interests, and advocating for the visions of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits, thus exploring pathways for global governance to develop in a more just and reasonable direction in such governance areas as global security, development, human rights and new frontiers.
