本書為衞奕信勳爵文物信託資助項目「詠春的傳承與保育」的計劃成果之一。本書主要介紹葉問詠春在香港的六大系統，各系統對葉問詠春在香港的傳承發展（傳承模式、師徒關係），以及保育路向（保護、弘揚與振興葉問詠春、機遇與挑戰）的看法等。
