Abstract
In order to maintain good shape memory performance of polyurethane shape memory fiber/cotton knitted fabric after dyeing and finishing, the bio-polishing with enzyme are used instead of singeing to remove the hairiness on the surface of fabric. In addition, the temperatures in pre-heat setting and also the fabric heat setting are lowered down properly. Moreover, the soda ash and the hydrogen peroxide of lower concentration are used in the fabric scouring and bleaching process. The jet overflow dyeing is used so as to reduce the elongation of SMF. The results show that the fabric has good shape memory performance with good color fastness and bio-polishing effect.
