小時候念的是佛教小學和佛教中學．佛學老師最愛用《西遊記》來喚起孩子的注意力，由孫悟空講起．講到豬八戒和沙僧．再講到牛魔王和蜘蛛精，最後落到玄奘頭上。說他如何捨身求法．把大量經典帶回中國。虛擬與現實之間，小說與歷史之間．這樣的一位精進的和尚，深深吸引年少的我。
