Abstract

According to physical and chemical characteristics of polyurethane shape memory fiber in melt spinning ( MSMF), the MSMF/cotton woven fabrics is developed.  The cold pad-batch pretreatment with lowered hydrogen peroxide concentration is used in dyeing and finishing process.  The bio-polishing with enzyme are used to remove the hairiness on the surface of fabric.  Moreover, the temperatures in pre-heat setting and also the fabric heat setting are lowered down properly.  In addition, the jet overflow dyeing is used so as to reduce the elongation of MSMF.  The test results show that the polyurethane shape memory fiber in melt spinning /cotton fabric has lower elastic recovery ratio, higher deformation fixity ratio and shape recovery ratio.  Therefore it shows excellent characteristics of fabric comfort.
