推薦者說明多一點人文學養大學生的增加 , 質素不必然趨向平庸。因大學生的增加, 而變得平庸, 這不是文明的進步, 而是文明的退化。時至今日, 大學生仍然是社會的精英, 仍然被視為人類文化知識的主要承傳者, 我們對其閱讀的要求, 自有相當的期許。大學時代是奠定較全面知識基礎?
