Abstract
Wuxing Miao Villages are the typical case of the blending of the traditional Chinese Wuxing culture and the Miao culture, which are applied to name the five Miao villages of the Metal Village, the Water Village, the Wood Village, the Fire Village and the Earth Village. The paper takes Wuxing Miao Villages in Lyudong Mountain Scenic Area in Xiangxi for example to probe its translation. It proposes that in the translation of Wuxing Miao Villages, the diversity and uniformity, the integrity and relevance, and the intercultural communication through the five common elements of metal, water, wood, fire and earth in the world can help to promote the internal integration and international communication of Chinese culture.
