Abstract
十九世紀中開始，香港和上海等新開的埠頭，由於粵籍人群的流動，與歷史悠久的廣州和澳門共同構成一種有機的互動關係。其中一個頗能體現這種關係的課題，是粵語及其衍生的產品的生產與傳播。這四座城市曾共享一個聲音世界，但由於種種原因，支撐這種粵聲共享和流轉的機制，逐漸走向消逝。本書以粵聲為軸，從省城（廣州）說起，輔以其他相關敘述，展現十九世紀中至二十世紀中省港澳滬角色和關係的演變
