Abstract
OBJECTIVE To understand the support of Chinese residents for the legislation of licensed pharmacists and its influencing factors. METHODS A cross-sectional study was conducted on the residents from 120 cities through a questionnaire survey. The study used multiple linear regression to analyze the related factors of residents’ score on the legislative will of licensed pharmacists. RESULTS The average score of Chinese residents’ legislative support for licensed pharmacists was 69.04. Bachelor degree or above (β=0.04), mild anxiety (β=0.03) and severe pressure (β=0.05) residents had high support for the legislation of licensed pharmacists (P<0.01). Moderate and severe depression (β=-0.02,P<0.01) residents had low legislative support for licensed pharmacists. Family health status (β=0.30), self-health feeling (β=0.25), self-management ability (β=0.13), health literacy (β=0.12)and perceived social support (β=0.09) had significant positive impact on the score of legislative support for licensed pharmacists (P<0.01). CONCLUSION Education level, anxiety, pressure, depression, family health status, self-health feeling, self-management ability, health literacy and social support are the main factors affecting residents' legislative attitude towards licensed pharmacists.
