Abstract
Firstly, This study begins with a systematic review of the development of contextual theory. Through methods such as field observations,
in-depth interviews, and desktop research, the current status and problems of smart community elderly care services in China were analyzed and
summarized. Secondly, combining the advantages and feasibility of contextual theory in community elderly care, the EDSPS contextual framework for
smart community elderly care was constructed. This framework includes five categories of contextual information: Environment, Device, Service, People,
and Social. Research and summary of user service needs were conducted through contextual observation, user interviews, and other methods. Finally,
based on the EDSPS contextual framework, design strategies for smart community elderly care services were proposed.
