Abstract
To systematically grasp the development status and frontier dynamics of construction accident causation analysis, a bibliometrics and knowledge domains network analysis was conducted using CiteSpace on 246 papers from the Web of Science Core Collection. The results show that the number of papers published in this field has been on the rise. Additionally, the papers published in Safety Science and Accident Analysis and Prevention are of strong reference value for the research of construction accident causation analysis. Moreover, the connection between scholars is insufficient and a close cooperation network has not yet been formed. The focus in this field includes accident causation theories and models, accident causal factors, and accident causation analysis methods. The hot trends include the extension of the horizontal breadth of systemic research and the vertical depth of individual research on accident causal factors, the application of data mining and automation technology. Finally, several future perspectives are proposed, such as strengthening interdisciplinary research for a comprehensive understanding of accident causation mechanisms, dynamic feature tracking of worker behaviors, efficient use of unstructured text and handling multimodal feature data.
