Abstract
Regional intercity co-opetition refers to a feature of co-existence of intercity competition and cooperation on wealth generation as well as profit-sharing mechanism. Based on the conceptual deliberation on ＂co-opetition＂ from busi- ness administration and urban studies, this paper examines the concept of intercity co-opetition and put forward the re- search significance on regional intercity co-opetition. Secondly, the paper reviews urban competitiveness and to connect individual city＇ s concern within the regional intercity strategy against the background of globalization. Consequently, a theoretical framework is developed.
