Abstract

The U.K government released its intellectual property regime reform plan in Aug 2011, which is based on the May "Hargreaves Review". The Purpose of the plan is to cater the current U.K IP regime for the social and technological development, and hence boost the economic growth and creative activities. The review raised 10 suggestions based on the objective facts, with its collateral plans it suggest that the future IP model should embrace more freedom in order to respond to the challenges raised by digital revolution.In the time of the new Copyright Law revision draft of China had been put forward, it is with great value to investigate the Hargreaves Review thoroughly.
