Abstract
The mathematical model for the solar photovoltaic window system embedded in ESP-r,a tool for building energy and environment simulation, was verified with the measured data.By using the model, numerical simulations were performed for an office building to calculate the hourly, monthly, and annual solar power output of the vertical photovoltaic window with four orientations with weather data of five cities, which represent different latitude, longitude, and solar irradiance. The relations between the solar power output and photovoltaic window orientations, seasons, and building latitude were obtained.
