Abstract
Youxia of pre-Qin period and samurai of Edo are products of the spiritual culture of warrior. They have a lot in common in punishing the strong and helping the weak as well as loyalty and faithfulness, showing the commonality of Oriental Culture. Because of their different geographical position, social environment and historical development, they also have their own unique aspects. It is of great value and significance to help us to understand the youxia of pre-Qin period by comparing the similarities and differences between youxia and samurai.
