Abstract
The personal pronoun wu 吾 as an object appeared only in specific occasions in the pre-Qin and Han periods. The present article examines the extant Kongzi Jiayu 孔子家語 on the basis of this syntactic feature. It is found that the composition of the examined passages in Kongzi Jiayu 孔子家語 could not predate the Han periods.
