中英传统园林中建筑艺术作用比较

Garden architectures are essential elements to the creation of garden art in any divisions of traditional garden systems. The differences between Chinese and England classical gardens can be explored through the comparison of their achitectures. This paper starts with a historic view on gardens in these two countries, and further steps are toward respective revelation of basic features of garden architectures, together with the effects they make on garden art. Moreover, based on the above mentioned discussion, discrepancies come into light from the comparison among nature relation, spacial function and emotional catharsis, thus the differences between the classical gardens of the two countries are revealed.
