Abstract
《中國式英語—一部社會語言學史》從社會語言學和歷史的角度詳盡並具有見地地論述了英語在中國的發展史。金斯利‧博爾頓從刊物和回憶錄中通過分析語匯表、數據和各種有趣的材料，發掘出17世紀外國商人進入中國以來鮮為人知的中國英語發展史，合理地提示了中國內地的洋涇濱英語和香港英語的歷史聯系，概括分析了英語在中國內地的發展現狀。
