Abstract
在美国中西部生活时，认识一位来自中国大陆的研究生朋友，一口福建腔英文，英语能力比我还差，发音不正，腔调不纯，在课堂上发言时让所有人都听得非常吃力。不，也不是所有人，主要是“非美国人”听得吃力，本土洋人倒大致明白他到底说些什么，语言是很现实的东西，“贫者愈贫，富者愈富”，若你本身英语能力够好，对方即使说得歪腔走板，你仍能猜到他的意思，他所留下的文法和语音空隙，你能在脑海自动填补，故可“猜”透意思；
