Abstract
The distributions of wind-induced pressure on a tall building were evaluated by a wind tunnel test in two boundary layers. This paper presents some selected results of the mean pressure coefficients and peak pressure coefficients on the tall building based on the analysis of the data obtained in the wind tunnel test. In addition, further studies were conducted to investigate how the pressure coefficients of the tall building are influenced by the variations of boundary layers. The outcomes of this study are expected to be useful to determine the wind loads on curtain walls of the tall building in the design stage, and also provide guidelines for the design and wind tunnel tests for other similar structures in the future.
