Description

Many new technologies including 4G mobile, WiMAX, ZigBee based-wireless sensor network are being introduced. With these developments, embedded solution for multi-standard wireless communication is emergence. This research aims at developing wireless systems with embedded solutions for microwave and high frequency applications.New emerging embedded solution requires the transceiver to operate with multiple functions, standards, and frequencies. RF designers need to translate the new requirements into transceiver specifications to successfully realize working hardware. Protocol, design of emergency solution is also required to support multiple wireless communication standards. The developed protocol requires various QoS among different standards. The key to success for next generation wireless communication is reliability. Mesh capability is a must to ensure the reliability of wireless communication. In such a network, each network user is also a provider, forwarding data to the next node. The networking infrastructure is decentralized and simplified because each node needs only to transmit as far as the next node.In this project, a total solution for RF applications are investigated and developed. The development includes the transceiver design, the integrated circuits design, the SoC development, QoS management, protocol design and implementation.
