Training the Next Generation of Biomedical Scientists with Hands-on Laboratories on Bio-image Data Analysis

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

Imaging techniques have grown at fast paces and made a profound impact on biomedical research. With so much bio-image data from various techniques, few curricula is dedicated to teaching the students the bio-image data analysis skills. Here I propose to design a hand-on laboratory course to familiarize the students with various kinds of bio-image data, to teach them how to analyze the data and extract useful information, and to provide them the opportunity to create novel image-processing methods.
