The Development of Interactive Library Learning Resources

In the first call of Teaching Development Grant proposals in December 2005, SS and CCIV submitted proposals which develop interactive self-learning resources to motivate and enhance student learning at their own pace. Although the subject matters are very different for the two projects, the ultimate goals are similar - to produce interesting learning materials which are easily accessible to staff and students. To make the materials truly accessible and searchable, this project will pull together the experise of the library and the two departments to create multimedia learning materials for CCIV and SS. It is envisaged that the resources will be integrated with the Library systems and Blackboard, the standardised e-learning platform of the University, thus making them available to staff and students.
