Project Details

Description

This project has three key objectives:to design and develop synthetic strategies for novel nanomaterials and self-assembled monolayers containing luminescent metal-organic components;to incorporate into the nanomaterials/SAMs (i) receptor units for guest analytes, and (ii) suitable phosphorescent moieties that can signal changes in their microenvironments; andto develop SAM-based phosphorescent sensory nanomaterials with biomolecular and environmental applications.
