Project Details
Description
Computing, communications and consumer product technologies development has made the dream of automatic connection for home appliances become real. Based on Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) guidelines and Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) technology, the devices in the automatic home network can discover and provide services for each other. However, the quality of service (QoS) and the security and protection of the network are key issues of the enabling technology. This project aims to base on DLNA to develop modules on digital right management, network management and security. The developments are expected to render the home network high quality of service and good multimedia streaming, and to protect media content and their right, and to secure the network from unauthorized intrusion.
