Project Bridge is a program that aims to build and enhance students’ character, ethics and philosophical thinking under CityU motto through various student-led innovative activities. To enhance students’ strengths, character, and sense of morality, the program seeks to make use of a wide range of educational tools, including classroom activities, group discussions, and online learning platforms, to promote students’ understanding of self in different levels, from micro level (individual/family self), mezzo level (e.g., social groups, workplace) to macro level (society). After training, students will understand the diversities of the self from different perspectives, and extend the understanding of diversity to the macro level including gender diversity, age diversity, ethnic diversity, regional diversity, class diversity, political diversity, and religious diversity. Since Project Bridge has the potential to become a GE, trial run has been conducted in GE1226 and SS1012 “Youth in a Changing Society” in summer semester (180 students) and semester A (299 students) of 2020-21 academic year, with the objective to develop it as a full fledged GE course later.
