Description

• Development of a numerical simulation model for the damage effect to the guided wave propagation in aerospace composite structures.o Finite element model built-up of a multilayer composite plate with embedded damage.o Multiphysics simulation of the piezoelectric sensors and actuators embedded in the composite plate, enabling ultrasonic guided wave propagation in the structure.o Simulation signal generation under various matrix crack conditions.• Development of a physics-informed neural network for damage detection in aerospace composite structures.o Development of a hybrid model with embedded physics insights.o Design of the neural network structures using both numerical sensor signals and actual experiment signals.o Development of the loss function of the neural network.
