Photoluminescence Spectroscopy of Self-organised II-VI Semiconductor Nanowires

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

This project focuses at II-VI semiconductor nanowires as functional elements for photonics and optoelectronics. The nanowires will be fabricated by self-assembly from pre-synthesized II-VI nanoparticle building blocks in solution, and their advanced optical characterization will be carried out by photoluminescence spectroscopy. Special attention will be paid to energy/charge transfer along nanowires, in order to gain fundamental knowledge allowing their future use as functional components of optoelectronic devices.
