Description
Omni-directional cameras with a large field of view have their advantages in practical applications. However, they generate severe distortions, which make the calibration task difficult, especially for on-line calibrations. In this research, the investigators will explore a geometric interpretation for a generic division model of camera lens radial distortion and propose a new method to solve the distortion parameters. To suit many practical applications, the calibration needs to be carried out on-line automatically by the algorithm itself without the operator’s interference. The proposed calibration method works under a single view. Furthermore, no prior knowledge about the structure of the scene is needed.
