Development of 3D Autostereoscopic and Holographic Imaging Applications
Project: Research
Researcher(s)
Description
The objective of this project is to develop prototypes and demonstration items for three dimensional (3D) auto-stereoscopic and holographic imaging applications. The latter include a number of technologies that have been filed for, or in the process towards patent applications. A list of all the development items and their current status are given below:High resolution multi-view image integration for 3D auto-stereoscopic display: The patent application on the method has been filed. Demonstration items based on the method will be developed in this project.Computer generated binary hologram: The patent on this method is in preparation and the application is supported by the IDF of the KTO. Prototypes of the holograms will be generated in this project.3D aerial projection system: The patent on this method is in preparation and the application is supported by the IDF of the KTO. A prototype of the system will be implemented in this project.2D to 3D conversion: The project will also include the development of one or more software packages for converting 2D content to auto-stereoscopic an holographic representation.Detail(s)
