Project Details
Description
The Collaborative Learning through Immersion Project (CLIP) will explore uses of Immersive Visualisation Systems (IVS) to design and implement interactive real-world scenarios thus creating virtual classrooms. These next-generation classrooms will develop students’ problem solving and lateral thinking (Waks, 1997; Stefaniak, 2014) and provide settings for rich cognitive expansion using interactive digital tools. Such classrooms address the understood need that Hong Kong foster innovative thinking and creativity in its undergraduate students (Hoshmand, 2012) utilising the evidence-based benefits of immersive learning (Childs and Peachey, 2013).
