Project Details
Description
Organic electronic devices are of widespread interest due to their potential applications inlow-cost solar energy conversion and solid-state lighting. In the past decade, much efforthave been devoted on studies of organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) and organicphotovoltaic (OPV) devices. While efficiencies of these devices have been increasedconsiderably, operation stability is still a major hurdle for some applications. In this project,we target on understanding (1) the interfacial physics and charge transport properties thatcontrols the device characteristics, and (2) the possible degradation mechanisms of organicelectronic devices. In addition, the role of doping induced high device performance andoperational stability will be examined.
